ABOUT
Born in Bristol, England in 1969, I became interested in art through drawing. I studied graphic design then joined a design agency, developing a number of skills, including art direction and photography.
I moved to the Corrèze, France in 2008 and formed my own design and photography agency, providing a service for clients both in the UK and France.
In 2022, I resumed a side project developed 10 years earlier, and have been refining my skills and techniques. Using Photoshop, I ‘paint’ with light and dark, textures and contrast, excluding any filters or use of AI. This way I explore every corner of my photographs and discover hidden details to work with.

The international movement known as Pictorialism covered a period between the later 19th and early 20th century and represented both a photographic aesthetic and a set of principles about photography’s role as art. Pictorialists believed that photography should be understood as a vehicle for personal expression on a par with other fine arts.
My work represents a desire to revive these principles. It is a personal journey that reflects my love of nature and landscape paintings of the same period.
